Biography
Dr. Dalpé Welliver has been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist for 28 years. Prior to her anesthesia training, she was a trauma Registered Nurse for 10 years in a Level I trauma center in Philadelphia. At Barry, Dr. Dalpé Welliver mentors future scholars in the nurse anesthesia program through a focus on translational research and the anesthesiology scholarly project.
Dr. Dalpé Welliver obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University, West Chester, Pennsylvania; Master of Science from St Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Diploma in Anesthesia from Lankenau Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia, Wynnwood, Pennsylvania, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Dalpé Welliver previously served as a clinical/didactic Instructor for Florida International University School of Nurse Anesthesia and University of North Florida School of Nurse Anesthesia. Additionally, she was a Clinical Adjunct Professor for Old Dominion University School of Nurse Anesthesia prior to joining Barry University.
Dalpé Welliver served on the Editorial Board and as Editor in Chief for Anesthesia eJournal for 4 years and co-authored/co-edited the textbook, Drug Drug Interactions published by American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. She continues to provide peer review services for AANA Journal. Dr. Dalpé Welliver is dedicated to mentoring future nurse anesthesiology scholars and advancing Barry University’s mission of academic excellence and service.
