Biography

Dr. Plaise earned her PhD in Counseling with a specialization in Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling from Barry University. Her areas of expertise include racial trauma, complex trauma, crisis intervention, harm reduction, and working with marginalized populations, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and TGNB communities, using evidence-based, strength-based, race-based, and trauma-informed approaches. She teaches Crisis Intervention and Social and Cultural Issues in Counseling.
