Biography
Silvia Majercakova Albertova, Ph.D. brings extensive experience in school psychology as a practitioner, faculty member, and researcher. She has served as a school psychologist in both public and private school settings for many years, with a deep commitment to fostering positive academic, social, and emotional outcomes for students by recognizing and supporting each child’s individuality.
Her research centers on applied positive school psychology, with contributions to international projects examining student and teacher mental health, social-emotional well-being, school belonging, mindfulness, and school climate. Dr. Albertova previously served as Director of the Center for Positive Psychology at Pan-European University in Slovakia.
She is an active member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and the International Association of School Psychologists (ISPA), and serves as an editor for the Journal of Happiness and Health as well as a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Positive School and Educational Psychology.
