Biography

Maya Ozery, PhD is Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development &
Organizational Engagement at the University of Kansas. A member of the department’s
executive leadership team, she leads strategy for student-athlete development, leadership
education, and organizational culture, advancing initiatives that strengthen performance,
alignment, and long-term departmental impact.

Previously, Ozery served as Executive Director of the Cooper Athletics Leadership Program at
Georgetown University and as a member of the athletics leadership team, where she directed
department-wide leadership strategy and cross-functional initiatives within the athletics
enterprise.

Ozery holds a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and serves as a leadership development
consultant, advising organizations on culture, strategy, and organizational effectiveness. She
has also served as adjunct faculty in Georgetown University’s Sport Industry Management
program, teaching leadership and management in sport.

A former Barry University women’s soccer student-athlete and team captain, Ozery competed
internationally with Israel’s Women’s National Team and captained the U-19 National Team.

She and her wife, Alison, reside in Lawrence, Kansas.
